Aung San Suu Kyi ---- Did she point to us the Burma road?
Did she point to us the Burma road? I never believed in collective hunger strike. If one is engaging in hunger strike, that's a deeply personal choice, one's last desperate resort to our common humanity. It should never be taken when there's other option. On the other hand, I can't criticize anyone's choice of going on hunger strike. Each individual has to make his or her choice based upon his or her own struggle. That's where the tragedy of 6.4 came in. When some one trying to learn from Ghandi turning this into a massive human pretense on the Tian Anmen Square for their geopolitical agenda, preventing Deng with a Facial welcome of a Russian leader, our struggle for democracy was turned into the tool of neo-colonialism. I simply can't support that as a Chinese.
I am willing to be critical to those brave yet ignorant "Chinese" for a simple reason: until and unless we are willing to learn from our own real "River Elegy", we shall always be lost sheep without a real shepherd. WE have to select or elect our own shepherd. Japan was trying to be our shepherd with the english and american support. The outcome was world war two, the war of 1894 and the cold war. The people living in Taiwan was trying to be the shepherd, they tried with 70 years without political success. Are they all lost sheep? I don't know. People tried to manufacture political leaders. Hillary, Chen Shui-bian, Li Deng-hui and Jiang Ze-min were those failed manufactured products. The ourcome we had is total corruption, a married East-West corruption. Of course our wealthy civilization in both West and East could afford that kind of corruption for a quarter century. Not any more. American people has spoken. I believe that Chinese people have been speaking with their action. The institutional democratic process is slowly developing. There are many dramatic voices coming from everywhere. I don't agree with most of those voices though I do believe the freedom they are endowed allow them to voice their opinion, no matter how prejudiced those opinions are.
My choice: I have yet to learn from her to walk my own unique Burma road back to China. I am still in U.S. I was invited to go back to China many times. I have taken a very cautious road. Now I am ready to follow my own unique Burma road back to China to serve the people of China. I have not listened to anyone my entire life. I rejected everyone's guidance in my life including my ex-wife, father, mother, brother, sister, classmates, professors, everyone. I tried to touch my own stone crossing this river and ocean. I shall be back in my hometown Shanghai SOON which has been the center of the entire global village for one hundred and sixty years! Long Live Shanghai!
p.s. Now I realized that I was supposed to be one of those manufactured leaders with my ex as the maker. When she failed to make me into her phony shape, she abandoned me. I can't be manufactured by any human. I am a product of "GOD" however you want to define the word "God" or your religion of "God".
p.s. 2: I do believe all those "corrupted Chinese" "PARAMOUNT" leaders ought to be "forgiven" by history and people of China. The reason is simple: they might feel that there were no other choice they could make other than following the orders from the WEST.
